As a full line integrator for Canadian broadcast, PTS (Pippin Technical Service) can supply, design and provide turnkey studio construction, or assist your local engineering crew with commissioning your new facility.

From acoustic treatment and custom millwork, to microphones, processors, programming playout and audio consoles – over the years we have quite literally designed, built and seen it all.

RF / Wireless

One of our specialties is the design and construction of transmitter sites. The transmitter technicians at PTS are in demand across the country. Our turnkey services include:

Regulatory agency applications
Site acquisition and planning
Shelter and tower construction
Antenna supply/installation

Safety Code 6 inspection and compliance testing

We have also implemented several turnkey digital distribution networks utilizing satellite technology for point-to-multipoint audio program and data distribution. If you are building fresh, or leasing space on an existing tower or network, we’ve got your coverage covered.

Pro A/V

The audio system designers at PTS have over 20 years experience in the design and installation of audio systems. Our scope of activity includes turnkey sound reinforcement systems varying in size from small boardrooms to large sport facilities.

Specific types of systems we have supplied include:

Performing Arts facilities
University lecture theatres
Indoor and Outdoor sport facilities
Interpretative centres
House of Worship
Council chambers
Retail environments
Digital audio and video conferencing systems
Aquatic facilities (including underwater speakers)

Hearing assistance systems (FM or infrared) are designed to suit the venue and application.

VoIP Telephones

Whether you’re a broadcast operation, or a small-medium business owner, PTS can supply you with a PBX server and handsets to manage your office phone system and connect with your local TelCo.

Switchboard and desktop handsets, hands-free and wireless units are all available. Our feature rich server allows for auto-attendant, call forwarding, call display, voicemail and more all handled by an on-site server.

For broadcast, that same server can also function as a gateway to your Telos digital hybrid – meaning for perhaps the first time ever, your office phones and broadcast lines can be on the same network and visible as local extensions throughout the facility.

Mass Warning

We represent Whelen Engineering in Canada. Whelen is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial warning systems.

Products include both indoor and outdoor siren systems with voice capability. The high power outdoor systems are available in several configurations generating up to 130 dBc at 100 ft.

Indoor systems include loudspeakers and strobes as required. Classified devices (with CSA approval) for use in hazardous areas are available. Wide-area networks consisting of several hundred sirens are available since the individual sirens are addressable and can be activated individually, globally or by group.
