For over a decade Tieline has been assisting broadcasters bridge the audio gap between facilities regardless of whether the plant was Wheatnet-IP (AoIP), analog, or digital AES3. When the Tieline team launched Gateway, they expanded the AoIP capability by adding support for additional AoIP protocols like AES67, SMPTE 2110-30, and RAVENNA. The integration of Livewire+ provides Tieline’s Gateway products with the ability to directly and natively interface with Livewire and Livewire+ facilities. This new capability provides functions like seamless audio streaming of sources & destinations, audio channel discovery within Livewire+, up to 64 logic inputs & outputs to work with, Livewire+ clock function, and Pathfinder support.
Tieline has been referring to the Gateway in their presentations as the “space shuttle” of codecs.
