Livewire+ support for Gateway is complete!

Livewire+ support for Gateway is complete!

The team at Tieline have been talking about it for several months. Many of the talented people in the broadcast engineering community asked for it. The beta testing is over. The full integration of native Livewire in Tieline’s award winning Gateway codec is complete.

For over a decade Tieline has been assisting broadcasters bridge the audio gap between facilities regardless of whether the plant was Wheatnet-IP (AoIP), analog, or digital AES3. When the Tieline team launched Gateway, they expanded the AoIP capability by adding support for additional AoIP protocols like AES67, SMPTE 2110-30, and RAVENNA. In the last year, Tieline has been actively working on integrating the newest addition to their AoIP lineup… Axia’s Livewire+. The integration of Livewire+ provides Tieline’s Gateway products with the ability to directly and natively interface with Livewire and Livewire+ facilities. This new capability provides functions like seamless audio streaming of sources & destinations, audio channel discovery within Livewire+, up to 64 logic inputs & outputs to work with, Livewire+ clock function, and Pathfinder support.

Tieline has been referring to the Gateway in their presentations as the “space shuttle” of codecs. Now that Livewire support has been added at no additional cost, it means that the Gateway can speak more AoIP languages than other IP codecs. You asked for it… it’s here. Download the latest firmware package and give it a spin today.  For more information (and the latest pricing) on Gateway, contact the Solutions Team at PTS today!
