It\u2019s been nearly three years since Telos Alliance introduced Omnia VOLT, their entry-level processor and successor to the successful, ubiquitous Omnia ONE. Since then, over 2,200 VOLTS have been placed on the air around the world!<\/p>

With that many installations Telos Alliance has receive a lot of customer feedback, which has inspired their latest and significant update to VOLT so far: Version 2.0.\u00a0<\/p>

VOLT\u2019s shape-shifting software architecture allows this 1RU hardware platform to fill the processing needs of FM, AM, HD\/DAB and streaming applications, as well as stand-alone stereo generator, simply by downloading and installing new firmware.\u00a0 You’ll find your free, fresh Version 2.0 update for every VOLT configuration available on the VOLT 2.0 Landing Page<\/a>. Here are the highlights:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Improved Factory Presets<\/strong><\/h4>

When Telos Alliance created VOLT, they wanted it to be fast and easy to set up, with minimal adjustments needed to get the right sound dialed in. The QuickTweak adjustment feature has been a tremendous hit, and continues to win fans for making the complex art of tuning processing simple.\u00a0 As Version 2.0 is ushered out the door, this is a reminder how much of a \u201ckiller app\u201d QuickTweak is, and all the more so since this latest release gives you newer, better presets to use as a base.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Changes to the VOLT preset offerings were literally years in the making.\u00a0 Constructive feedback, custom preset development and offerings built for power users are combined and refined.\u00a0 The fm factory present list is completely revamped, carefully revising nearly a dozen of the most popular original presets to make them sound smoother and more open, but with no significant loss in loudness. There’s also an additional eight brand-new FM presets. VOLT has never sounded better, and the out-of-box experience for user who want to \u201crack and go\u201d is much improved.\u00a0<\/p>

Many of these revisions and additions are included in the HD Pro build as well, while the AM version adds eight brand-new presets.\u00a0 Please note that \u201cretired\u201d presets from earlier versions will still be available on the Volt webpage.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

SNMP for All Configurations<\/strong><\/h4>

Users have made it clear that SNMP is no longer a want, but a need. Telos Alliance introduced SNMP for the FM version of VOLT in the v1.3 update.\u00a0 VOLT 2.0 brings SNMP to the HD Pro, AM, and SG versions as well.\u00a0<\/p>

Port Forwarding<\/strong><\/h4>

Users who have multiple VOLTs on their network and prefer to use a single external IP address can now assign a unique port for each VOLT and take advantage of the security benefits and conveniences of port forwarding.\u00a0<\/p>
