The Linear Acoustic® ARC (Automatic Realtime Control) television loudness processor was created for customers who want Linear Acoustic quality but don’t need the ability to handle 5.1-channel or coded audio, including sub-channels in the U.S. and many global markets.
Linear Acoustic has just released software update v1.2 for ARC. It is now available for download, along with release notes and an updated brochure, on the Linear Acoustic ARC Product Page. The product page also contains an updated Manual and Quick Start Guide.
Right Features, Right Price
ARC features Linear Acoustic’s APTO® loudness adaptation algorithm for viewer-pleasing audio that remains compliant to all global loudness standards, including ATSC A/85 and EBU R-128, with user-defined target and true-peak levels. In addition to HD/SD-SDI and AES-3 I/O, ARC offers AES67 to provide native support for SMPTE ST 2110-30 workflows. The v1.2 update adds SNMP plus three types of logging:
- Rolling 6-hour loudness logs for each program
- Loudness Event Log to identify any loudness issues
- System Event Log for logging overall system health
