Telos Alliance Axia Pathfinder Core PRO v1.6 Update Offers New ‘VML’ Option for Virtualized Monitoring and Control of Lower-Density Systems

Telos Alliance Axia Pathfinder Core PRO v1.6 Update Offers New ‘VML’ Option for Virtualized Monitoring and Control of Lower-Density Systems
Pathfinder Core PRO’s v1.6 adds new VML option for virtualized monitoring and control of smaller Axia Livewire+™ AES67 facilities.

Cleveland, OH (April 6, 2020) – The Telos Alliance®—trusted global leader in broadcast audio for more than three decades—introduced the v1.6 update to the Axia Pathfinder Core PRO today. This update makes Pathfinder Core PRO more accessible than ever by enabling the new VML option for virtualized monitoring and control, which is perfect for smaller systems with just a studio or two. Pathfinder Core PRO VML Gives Broadcasters More Options for Virtualized Monitoring & Control

Joining the Axia Pathfinder Core PRO broadcast controller and VM virtualized monitoring and control solution is Pathfinder Core Pro VML. VML delivers all the same features as VM but has a lower starting price point as it comes with 300 connections (as opposed to VM’s 1000 connections), making it perfect for a smaller system with just a studio or two. If the workflow expands, no problem. Simply apply add-on license points to the server to expand system control. Both Pathfinder Core PRO VM and VML allow broadcasters to deploy Pathfinder monitoring and control on familiar, approved hardware. Thanks to Pathfinder’s network-optimized monitoring and control protocols, broadcasters can also install Pathfinder Core PRO VM and VML at off-site data centers in a selection of hypervisor environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, Proxmox, and Stratus.

Pathfinder Is the Key to Controlling Your AoIP Ecosystem

While Pathfinder Core PRO now has many different offerings, the basic functionality is the same despite how the technology is deployed. Since no signal routing solution is useful unless you can control and manage the system effectively, Pathfinder is the key to unlocking the true potential of a Livewire+™ AES67 ecosystem. By discovering and identifying all compatible devices connected to the system, Pathfinder identifies each available AoIP source and destination. Acting as a middleware layer using its onboard protocol translator to connect with many commonly used third-party controllers, Pathfinder effectively serves as an AoIP router, an ideal core infrastructure component for a host of diverse radio and TV audio applications. Pathfinder can schedule and trigger events, detect audio silence, issue alarms, and instruct failover routing. It even allows the user to create custom screen-based control and monitoring panels. Look for the designations “Control with Pathfinder” and “Route & Manage with Pathfinder,” which indicate a product is part of the Livewire+ AES67 ecosystem and can interface easily and efficiently with Pathfinder.
